French Wine Scholar Course

The French Wine Scholar study and certification program is geared for members of the wine trade and serious wine hobbyists; it is designed to test for proficiency in the wines and wine regions of France. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and by U.S. Importers of French Wine as well.

The French Wine Scholar curriculum is comprised four sessions of 6-hour classes: Alsace, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire, Rhône, Southern France. An average of 6-8 wines will be tasted per class.

The WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) was founded in England in 1969 to promote, provide and develop high-quality education and training in wines and spirit for those in the wine and spirits industry as well as for the interested consumer. The UK-based WSET courses are the most widely recognised and highly regarded wine certification programme in the world today!

Introduction to Sommelier

Overview	Perfect for beginners, this is the best place to start your sommelier career
Duration	6 hours
Description	This course is a good introductory course for the wine enthusiast who wishes to be introduced in a structured way to wine styles, storing and serving of wine, food and wine matching and how to serve wine. You will taste a minimum of 7 fantastic wines.

Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits

Overview	Appropriate for individuals who have a serious interest in wine. This is a natural progression from the Foundation course, though the Foundation certificate is not a prerequisite.
Duration	20 hours
Description	This course is intended to provide a comprehensive level of focused wine knowledge. Successful candidates will be able to give information on the characteristics of the principal wines & spirits and identify major international brands within each category. You will taste a minimum of 10 fantastic wines.

WSET Level 3 Advanced in Wine & Spirits

Overview
The Level 3 Award gives comprehensive coverage of wines and spirits, with an increased focus on tasting technique and on the application of the knowledge gained.

Qualification objective:
Provide a core knowledge of the wide range of wines and spirits around the world to equip those in a supervisory capacity with the authority and confidence to make informed decisions in a wide variety of trade situations.Who it is aimed at:

•	People employed in the drinks and hospitality industries in a supervisory capacity, needing core information to advise management and customers with authority and make informed selections of wines and spirits
•	Wine connoisseurs who wish to learn about wines and spirits in a rigorous and structured manner and gain an internationally recognised wine and spirit qualification.
