

The French Wine Scholar study and certification program is geared for members of the wine trade and serious wine hobbyists; it is designed to test for proficiency in the wines and wine regions of France. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and by U.S. Importers of French Wine as well.
The French Wine Scholar curriculum is comprised four sessions of 6-hour classes: Alsace, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire, Rhône, Southern France. An average of 6-8 wines will be tasted per class.
The WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) was founded in England in 1969 to promote, provide and develop high-quality education and training in wines and spirit for those in the wine and spirits industry as well as for the interested consumer. The UK-based WSET courses are the most widely recognised and highly regarded wine certification programme in the world today!

Successful candidates will be able to give information on the characteristics of the principal wines & spirits and identify major international brands within each category. Overview
The Level 3 Award gives comprehensive coverage of wines and spirits, with an increased focus on tasting technique and on the application of the knowledge gained.
Qualification objective:
Provide a core knowledge of the wide range of wines and spirits around the world to equip those in a supervisory capacity with the authority and confidence to make informed decisions in a wide variety of trade situations.Who it is aimed at:
